Many barcode scanners today have more computing power than most so-called "mainframe computers" a decade ago.
In order for this computing power and storage capacity to be utilised properly, an appropriate programme must be installed on the scanner. Here too, we have already developed a wide variety of solutions.
For example, we have programmed a scanner for a customer, which is infinitely larger than a biro, so that employees can enter repair feedback for an entire day - with order number, time and employee identification.
In addition to the barcode scanners, 'normal' image scanners are also used. For example, for document archiving or document processing.
For document archiving in particular, we have developed modules (DLLs) with a defined interface that enable easy integration into existing programmes. Scanned documents can then be stored directly in a database or saved on a hard drive.
In conjunction with so-called OCR (Object Character Recognition) software, scanned documents can also be analysed directly.
