Production control through data processing

For several decades, production processes have increasingly been controlled by computers and microprocessors. More and more information obtained from these control modules is also being transferred directly to central computers. This information is then available for warehousing, despatch and accounting. In addition, labelling with any barcodes can be carried out directly on the production machine.

In this area in particular, we have been running applications for over ten years that, among other things, label products with barcodes, report this production to a central database and at the same time supply data from the central computer to the production control system. This is done by controlling special industrial inkjet printers and label printers, reading data from scanners and exchanging data with S5 or S7 Simatic units.

New, GENERIC DRIVER for FACTS

For the company Süd Chemie AG we develop process control by means of the so-called GENERIC DRIVER for the FACTS Scheduler. This allows external hardware and drivers to be addressed on a time-controlled basis. For example, drivers for AxSys, or even completely customised applications. Communication between FACTS and driver computers takes place via TCP/IP.
