Oracle databases

An Oracle database is a not insignificant purchase for a company. To be able to utilise it optimally, you need people who are familiar with it. A great deal of experience is required to handle the complexity of this database correctly on different operating systems.

An Oracle database does not run by itself. It has to be constantly monitored and maintained. So-called DBAs (Database Administrators) are responsible for this. A DBA is responsible for ensuring that the data security and provisioning speed required by the users is guaranteed.

We have been maintaining Oracle databases and developing applications for them for fifteen years. We have extensive experience in the creation of Oracle database structures and user interfaces. Several of these applications run as standard products on Oracle databases on a wide variety of operating system platforms.

Database content must be visualised for the user. This means that the data must be prepared in such a way that the user can understand and process it. There are various tools for this, such as Oracle Forms for large applications. But PHP, Perl, Typo3 and CGI applications are also becoming more and more widespread - especially for intranet applications.

Several large Oracle applications have been designed, developed and maintained by us over the last few years. These include systems for preventive maintenance, customer information systems and production control via barcodes.

Based on these applications, with several hundred tables, we have gained experience in creating database structures, user interfaces and interfaces to other programmes(SAP, AS/400, Procars, ...) and other hardware environments(special printers, Simatic and barcode readers).
